Even the best production potters use a throwing gauge to help them throw consistent shapes on the wheel.
If nothing else, consistency is kinda the hallmark of good production. So, I’m not sure why I insisted on throwing the last 400 or so pounds of clay without one. Thankfully, I stumbled on this sweet, simple solution just in time for the rest of the 1600 pounds in the garage. For about $12 and some glue, we’re good to go. ∆
