I went for a walk today at my local community college.
Stumbling on this scene, I snapped this picture. To me, it looks like a leaf floating atop of a cool pool of water, dappled sunlight poking through the trees above. Dramatic, yes? That’s me. Instead it’s yellow and green spray paint on a rusty workbench outside the art department.
It’s curious I found something like this; for years, a common theme in my work has been the illusion of water or the suggestion of something flowing, especially in dry places. So, this is kinda perfect. I like it. I think I’ll turn it into a screen saver. ∆
