Watching this video, with its janky audio track, reminds me of watching old films in grade school.

It takes me back to warm, sleepy afternoons with the blinds drawn, the flap of the film reel at the end of the movie.  Good times.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about regularly posting ceramic videos to my blog. I think I’ll post on Fridays, a nod to the day of the week most often chosen by my teachers to roll film.

I kick things off with this peek into the arduous, monotonous, beautiful world of early industrial production.  The size of the kiln is awe-inspiring.

Side note: This film comes from a YouTube channel called, of all things, Insulator Chronicles.  I thought I was a nerd.  I’m going to follow them.  ∆
