Ostensibly, Out of the Fire is a full-length documentary about potter Kevin Crowe and his friends who come together to fire his large, wood-fueled kiln in the Virginia woods.
In reality, it’s an uplifting film about dedication, taking risks, and the importance of following your dreams. Nuanced and engaging, it’s surprisingly well-made. I found it truly inspiring. You need not be a potter to join this party. Do check it out. I caught it through Amazon Prime. ∆
